对很多接触过PTE考试的小伙伴来说，应该对Retell Lecture都有一定的了解,这个板块的考题大都是从真实讲座或者演讲截取的一分钟到一分半钟的片段,录音播放之后考生有十秒的准备时间,随后在40秒内用自己的话复述讲座。

There’s sugar in a lot of foods that we don’t expect. And of course there are lots of sugar in donuts, or ice-cream, or pastries, there are other things that are sweet, (candy of course).But there are other places where you see it, and you don’t necessarily expect it.

So, as an example, peanut butter, here is a list of ingredients from Skippy peanut butter. And you see that the sugar is the second most common ingredient. (coughing and mumbling)… greeting food labels that these ingredients in any food label are listed in an order of how much there is in the food itself.

So sugar comes right after peanuts. Here is another example, beef stew, you wouldn’t necessarily expect to find sugar in beef stew, but it’s there. Now it’s down the list of ingredients, and it is actually toward the end.

But if you look at the marketing of this, which is the can, it says there is fresh potatoes and carrots, but there is actually more sugar in this than there is carrots. So you wouldn’t need beef stew to find out that this is the case.
