　　题型解析

　　作为Writing 部分的第一个题型，Summarize Written Text考察的是考生的阅读和写作的综合能力的运用，需要格外注意以下几点：

　　-规定字数范围：5-75字

　　-规定时间：10分钟

　　-形式：以一个完整句子总结题目段落

　　-使用合适的词汇及正确的语法结构(不要求语法多样性)

　　When the Rosetta Stone was discovered in 1799, the carved characters that covered its surface were quickly copied. Printer's ink was applied to the Stone and white paper laid over it. When the paper was removed, it revealed an exact copy of the text - but in reverse. Since then, many copies or 'facsimiles' have been made using a variety of materials. Inevitably, the surface of the Stone accumulated many layers of material left over from these activities, despite attempts to remove any residue. Once on display, the grease from many thousands of human hands eager to touch the Stone added the problem. An opportunity for investigation and cleaning the Rosetta Stone arose when this famous object was made the centrepiece of the Cracking Codes exhibition at The British Museum in 1999.

　　When work commenced to remove all but the original, ancient material, the stone was black with white lettering. As treatment progressed, the different substances uncovered were analyzed. Grease from human handling, a coating of carnauba wax from the early 1800s and printer's ink from 1799 were cleaned away using cotton wool swabs and liniment of soap, white spirit, acetone and purified water. Finally, white paint in the text, applied in 1981, which had been left in place until now as a protective coating, was removed with cotton swabs and purified water. A small square at the bottom left corner of the face of the Stone was left untouched to show the darkened wax and the white infill.

　　难点分析

　　本题难点有三：

　　第一，本题长难句较多，并且还比较拗口。这时需要大家静下心来，找出这些长难句的主谓宾，看懂每句话表达的重点。

　　第二，本题重点不够鲜明突出。乍眼望去，哪哪都是重点，没有明显的区分重点的线索词，如however,suchas等。在没有明显线索的情况下，大家要去分析句与句之间的逻辑关系。

　　首先，第一段里的第一句是说石头上的文字被复刻，而第二句具体展开说文字是具体怎么样被复刻的。由于SWT是要去概括主旨，因此对于“怎么样”这种具体细节不用包含在要点内。第三第四句交代了石头表面都有哪些不同的材料，属于第二个要点。

　　第二段第一句交代了清洁石头的缘由,剩下的部分则是详细交代如何清洁，因此清洁过程无须作为要点赘述。

　　第三，分析要点之间的逻辑关系。在理清要点后，本篇文章的逻辑关系就变得清晰了。先是发现石头后的复刻活动，因此石头表面累积了不同材料，进而导致了清洁石头的活动。

　　4.答案范例
